2088: The Cryllan Mission

2088: The Cryllan Mission is a science fiction themed RPG for Apple IIgs.

The U.S.S. Houston and its crew have crashed on the alien Cryllan planet.  The planet and their 6-member team have been dispatched by the Strategic Defense Division of NSEC to investigate. Upon arriving on the planet, the player finds that the crew of the U.S.S. Houston have overthrown the passive Cryllan civilization and set themselves up as leaders of the planet.  The player must restore the planet to its original order.

Game play is from a top-down perspective, where the player can move about the surface of the planet, as well as enter towns and talk to the various inhabitants.  The player can shop at various stores.  Combat occurs on a 9 x 9 combat field based upon player terrain.  The player can move all 6 of their characters independently, or can have the computer automate combat.  The player is armed with a map and alien scanner to locate enemy creatures and other geography.  Players can level up, and purchase improved armor and weapons. Dungeons are explored from a 1st person perspective.
