Alone is a survival RPG game that follows the journey of a shipwrecked hero who must rebuild and thrive on an island after the destruction of their people. The game offers a relaxing experience, eschewing certain challenging features. Players can collect resources and use them to craft items and weapons to survive on this deserted island. The game offers a quest-driven storyline, which starts with a shipwreck, and leads the player to restore a blighted world to its rightful state. Alternatively, players can treat the world as a sandbox and do their own thing. With procedurally generated islands, players can explore and claim them to become a Jarl worthy of the sagas. The game allows players to hunt in the darkest forests, or slay the undead in the cursed crypts, and obtain rare materials to create even stronger weapons. Alone provides endless opportunities for combat against various enemies, and players can unlock more powerful attacks by defeating boss monsters. The game also allows players to repair their ship to unlock other blighted islands to explore and conquer. Alongside all of these survivalist features, players can build a temple, honour the gods, celebrate in style, and build a Jarl’s Hall to sit upon a throne worthy of a conquering hero of the sagas.
