Game Details

Avaron is a re-vamped version of Yōjo Ranbu 2. Most of the story, characters, 3D graphics, and overall gameplay system have remained the same. The main difference between the versions is in the 2D graphics, which are primarily used for cutscenes and battles. Most plot-related scenes and enemy graphics have been completely re-drawn. Another noticeable difference is the larger screen area used to display combat. In this version, attacks performed by the player-controlled characters are graphically displayed during the battles.

A few story events have been altered: for example, one of the protagonist’s companions is first met under slightly different circumstances. There are also a few minor changes in the layout of areas. As opposed to Yōjo Ranbu 2, there is no voice acting in this version. An introduction movie has been added. A small auto-map now appears on the screen, in addition to the full area map accessed via the menu.
