Game Details

With nothing to lose and a whole lot of back-alley debt; your motivation to get rich quick has never been stronger. In Car Thief 6, players start off small working as a petty crook stealing from cars and pick-pocketing and work their way to stealing supercars, burglarizing sprawling mansions, street racing, gang fighting, and running your illegal businesses. That is if you can escape and evade the police and other threats. Fail to pay your debts off in time and prepare to fend off the back-alley loan sharks and their squads.

Outside of the main map screen, all actions are turn-based. Your character has skills for acting, shooting, hiding, driving, locksmithing, and electronics - all of which can be improved or temporarily boosted. Players have a character creation process to follow that includes choosing a class based on aforementioned skills, your in-game appearance, the game’s difficulty, and more. There is a rather extensive item database full with equipment and tools which can be adorned for additional boosts and perks. Much of the equipment have level or skill requirements in order to effectively use. Actions from both players and AI are calculated and completed using skill checks mixed with luck, very similar to 20-sided dice rolls in Dungeon and Dragons or other d20-based games. Looting, inventory management, groups/parties, skill checks, and many more RPG qualities help make up Car Thief 6.

The goal of the game is to obtain and stash away as much cash as possible by the time you end the game, all without having died or been locked away in prison. Simply paying off your debts is enough to finish the game’s storyline, however continuing to collect cash will allow you to continue raising your score.
