RPG Gamers summary

Cinnabunny is an adorable, locally cooperative game that draws players into the quaint life of a baker bunny in a peaceful village. With inspiration from calming games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, it’s crafted to be a soothing, comfortable experience, concluded to be apt for both avid gamers and beginners.

The narrative revolves around a bunny family trying to find a new home, amidst a challenging drought situation. The player embarks on an exciting journey to Sugar Creek Burrows, a community teeming with other engaging ‘bun’ characters, where they set up and manage their bakery in order to invite their family to this blissful locale.

Balancing gaming elements of business management and community interaction, players can hone their baking skills with a range of delectable recipes, from breads to pies. Each creation can be personalized using a variety of ingredients like berries, nuts, and spices sourced through foraging or farming. Ingredients can even be made from scratch, such as grinding wheat to flour or mining for salt.

Cinnabunny also presents a community-oriented gameplay where players can foster relationships with other bunnies of Sugar Creek Burrows, extending their culinary creations to others and getting insights into their individual taste preferences. The experience grows immersive with the addition of designing and organizing personal bakery space for added charm.

Apart from bakery management, the game offers bird-watching activities that challenge the player to identify and document various species through ‘birdoculars’, mushroom hunting through a vast species diversity, and a surprising turn of capturing misfired ‘recyclobots’.

As players progress through baking, foraging, birdwatching, and recycling, they get to level up their bun’s skills and enjoy unique rewards.

Despite being a local multiplayer game, Cinnabunny doesn’t support native online multiplayer and doesn’t include split keyboard controls. To partake in local co-play, at least one gamepad, such as those of Xbox, is required. Online multiplayer is possible via Steam’s Remote Play Together feature, although it necessitates the second player to have a controller, owing to the game engine’s limitations.

Cinnabunny delivers a rich and calming experience filled with endearing characters and a journey that is not only visually pleasing but also full of engaging tasks as players work towards a heart-warming goal.
