Crimson Alliance

Crimson Alliance is an action role-playing game in which players can control a wizard who uses long range attacks, a mercenary who has a melee fighting style or an assassin who is a hybrid of the previous two, as they crawl various dungeons in a bid to stop the Soul Sire, an evil sorceress who came back to life. The story is told through still images with voice acting. The game is listed as free, but this is actually a trial of the first levels. After these, players need to buy the characters to continue, one at a time or all at once.

Gameplay-wise, in between fighting enemies, collecting gold is essential, as this is needed to upgrade armor and weapons or buy single use items. It is also possible to receive gold for real money. If fights get a bit too intense, pressing the right bumper initiates Ultimate Power, which slows down time for a while. After each level, a score is awarded, depending on killed foes, secret rooms discovered and time to complete the level. The game features four-player, online or local cooperative play.
