Game Details

All magic in the world is believed to be sourced from gifts given by the gods to men. Giauque, Frea and Lippi are on a search for the original gift, the mysterious crimson shroud, when one of their companions is suddenly killed.

Crimson Shroud, originally released as part of the Guild01 compilation, is a turn based role-playing game heavily inspired by pen-and-paper games. The player’s party and enemies are represented as counters on a board, which is navigated by moving between rooms. Attack options are selected from a menu system and their power is determined by rolling dice, which the player starts with two of but can acquire more as the game progresses. Dice are also used to determine whether the party can escape an enemy encounter.

Rather than a traditional levelling system, a character’s attributes are directly tied to their equipment. At the end of a successful battle, the quantity of items they can collect is determined by how quickly they dispatched their enemies.
