Famaze is a charming retro-themed puzzle adventure game that takes inspiration from the SNES era of gaming. The game features randomized mazes that offer endless replayability, as well as a blend of strategy, puzzles, and RPG elements to keep players engaged throughout. The story of the game revolves around a mad king who has captured the happy rutabagas of the land and turned them into evil monsters to guard his kingdom, all in pursuit of the perfect recipe for rutabaga pudding. As one of three heroes, a knight, thief, or wizard, players must venture deep into the king’s domain to rescue the rutabagas, find the gem of truth, and put a stop to the mad king’s plot. Famaze offers plenty of environmental variables to keep players on their toes, including treasure chests, pit traps, healing blocks, and magic beacons. With three heroes to choose from, each featuring their own powerful unique abilities, players can tackle the game in their preferred style. Useful items like potions, fireballs, teleport orbs, and magic crystals are also available to aid players in their quest. In addition, the game features a collectible hidden artifact pieces meta game with an artifact summary screen. A fun, lighthearted story and an original soundtrack featuring 23 unique tracks by Disasterpeace round out the experience, providing players with a detailed stat tracking system that includes gold, high scores, types of monster kills, and more. All in all, Famaze is a retro adventure that offers players a blend of strategy and RPG elements with charming SNES era visuals and sound.
