Final Fantasy: Grandmasters

Final Fantasy: Grandmasters is a spin-off of Final Fantasy XI created for mobile devices. The purpose of the game is to complete quests in order to gain experience and loot which can be used to upgrade your character. These quests require you to kill a certain amount of monsters. Once you have done all the quests in a certain area you are given a final quest to kill a ‘notorious monster’ which features in that area in Final Fantasy XI. Completing this quest allows you to move on to the next area.

Beginning a quest places you in a small level featuring various monsters from Final Fantasy XI, and other players. Here you can chat with other players, or group together and fight the various monsters throughout the level. The battle system used in the game is similar to the active battle system featured in previous Final Fantasy games. In battle, you can only attack when your character’s ATB meter is full.
