Game Genie: The Game! is a flash game created for Youtube network The Game Station, based on their mini-series Game Genie. The game takes place during the final episode of the series, where Husky, Dodger, Layne, and TheWarpZone guys must face the Game Genie in a climatic final battle. The battle plays out in the style of a JRPG, particular reminiscent of the Active Time Battle system introduced in Final Fantasy IV. Each member of the party has an action bar which steadily fills up. Once it is completely filled the player must select an action for that party member to perform, whether that be attacking the Game Genie, healing a party member, or using an item. One of the Game Genie’s attacks can freeze a party members action bar, which requires an item to unfreeze.
