Garfield 2: Royal Adventure is an RPG game that follows the plot of the Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties movie. In England, a cat titled Prince XII is meant to inherit a deceased noble’s castle, much to the anger of her nephew, Lord Dargis, who decided to get rid of the cat to be the sole inheritor. The game begins with Garfield in the castle, being found and taken for the Prince. Coupled with Winston, the Prince’s loyal bulldog servant, they begin an adventure, which will ultimately foil Lord Dargis plans.
All the battles that take place in this game are turn-based. Frightening all the enemies gives the party experience points, which then make the characters level up and upgrade their attacks. All the enemies can be seen on the map and some of them must be defeated to clear the path and progress further along the map.
