Game Details

Hero Force was a free-to-play browser-based game. Players could create a superhero, choose and upgrade powers, and save New York. Missions are conducted in a similar fashion to early browser games; a list of jobs is presented to the player, and each click completes a certain percentage of the job and takes a certain amount of energy, which refills over time.
Combat is conducted like an RPG. The player faces off against 1-3 enemies in turn-based combat. Each round, they choose to use either their weapon or a superpower. Superpowers deplete your mana, which refills over time. Combat features large, well-animated characters and dynamic special effects.

Hero Force also featured chat, player-versus-player combat, leaderboards, tournaments, and microtransaction-based upgrades to health, energy, mana, and the player’s weaponry. The game was shut down on 29th April 2011.
