Ichika Orimura enrolls to become the first guy to fly the Infinite Stratos powered suits at the renowned IS Academy. Overtime, Ichika has become a competent IS pilot by frequent advances and experiences with the aid of his classmates and teachers.

Then, there is a tremendous danger to the world. Invading the earth on a global scale was a mysterious meteor bearing a collection of quasi-inorganic lifeforms named the Image Origis. Timezero End, their barrier strength, can make all traditional arms worthless, except for the IS suits, where they can deliver an efficient blow to certain barriers.
