Jian Xia Qing Yuan 2: Platinum Edition is an action RPG similar to the concept of Diablo with a real-time fighting system. Characters use martial attacks to engage enemies in any direction, with fights that can have close to 100 participants.
The story and music draw heavily from traditional Chinese culture. The story takes place three years after the second large-scale invasion of the Jin State in the Southern Song Dynasty. Zhang Rumeng, son of the general of Southern Song Dynasty, and Nangong Caihong, daughter of the Jin State Teacher, have become lovers from enemies through the events in the first game Jian Xia Qing Yua. Twenty years later, their son Nangong Feiyun has grown up and is now sixteen. Players control him as he embarks on a new adventure.
