Journey Into Darkness

Journey into Darkness is a roleplaying game for the Apple II.

In this game, the player takes on the persona of a ninja in order to defeat the pernicious and despicable Dark Lord of Dragongate.

Played from a top-down perspective, the player’s goal is to explore the land improving their statistics and solving quests to defeat the Dark Lord.  The player also has a mouse cursor they can control, to examine items, make purchases, interact with NPCs, drop and pickup items. 

In combat, the player enters real-time combat, where they and their opponent take turns swinging at each other, with damage controlled by quality of armor and weapons.  Enemies can be looted for items.  The player’s statistics include: strength, reaction, kipower, endurance, and semblance.
