Maō Company

Loki, a lower-class demon, is given a magic Pendulum by his uncle. It surely holds some kind of life-changing power… if only he could figure out how it works. So he and three of his friends set out on a journey to the heavens to try and unlock its secrets.

This traditional Japanese RPG has players controlling Loki and his allies on their journey. The turn-based battles follow the traditional JRPG format, but with a major twist in character growth. The Pendulum, it turns out, allows players to make contracts with other demons… as long as they can pay the cash price. Engage a demon, and players can gain “form points” or even exclusive new skills. Players can become as powerful as they can afford to become, so they need to earn as much money as they can over the game.
