The narrative kicks off during “A-Day,” the grand unveiling of a new Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco. Tragedy strikes when a catastrophic event, spurred on by a mysterious enemy, leads to extensive destruction. Wrongfully held accountable, the Avengers disband, only to regroup five years later at the behest of the resilient Kamala Khan; their mission is to foil the rising power of a clandestine entity known as AIM.
The Definitive Edition offers an immersive Avengers gaming experience that transports our heroes from space to the elusive kingdom of Wakanda and even to grim alternative futures. Players get to assemble a roster of 11 unique heroes whose powers they can restore, take on AIM either solo or with friends, and enjoy a flexible combat system with dynamic difficulty scaling.
A standout feature of this edition is the extensive customization options. Over 400 outfits await discovery, a treasure trove of both classic and new designs inspired by eight decades of Marvel history. Players can also unlock impactful abilities and gear to enhance the skills of their favorite Heroes.
Gamers can utilize restored places such as a helicarrier, S.H.I.E.L.D bases, and the Wakandan royal palace as operating bases. Missions come in two types: Hero Missions for single-player mode, and Warzone Missions that can be tackled alone or cooperatively.
