Muelsfell is a browser-based game where players take on the roles of mages that craft golems. These golems are used to combat creatures and other players. Clans, spells, 11 golem types, 15 resource types, and 80+ creatures make this browser game more complex than most.
As an example of its complexity, each golem has ten different locations: head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, left and right legs, left and right arms, and left and right hands. These locations can be damaged in combat, but each can be repaired if the player has enough resources to do so. Items such as armour, weapons, eyes, and power sources can be added to various locations, giving the player a lot of flexibility in how they design their golems. They can choose a tank of a creation, with heavy armour and weapons, or a fast, quick golem that is easier to use.
Golems are researched in the player’s library and then assembled on the workshop table, and can be created from varying materials such as flesh, bone, wood, stone, clay, or iron. Each material has a different affect on their golem. Flesh golems are fast and easy to use, bone golems deal more puncture damage and ignore desert conditions, clay golems will heal damage when wet, and so forth.
Additional features include an achievement system, an ingame newspaper, and voting in the senate on referendums.
