Game Details

MX-151 is a traditional role-playing game and it is also one of the first games created in Taiwan. The game starts with creation of a character where you can edit a set of six skills: strength, battle skill, dexterity, luck, search and haggle represented as percentage. The secondary skills are related to weapon proficiency like lasers or grenades.

MX-151 is set in a science fiction environment and features turn-based exploration and combat. The map is viewed from a top-down perspective where the character is represented as a blinking dot. You can move using the road and visit different locations, find items, recruit party members, get quests and so on. The combat is similar to other RPGs where each side trades blows in turns on a tactical screen, the view here is also top-down. Besides movement and fighting the character could also stop for a camp and either rest or scavenge for food which is consumed here by the party. There’s a soundtrack that features several tunes taken from the classical composers like Beethoven.
