Ninja Saga is a ninja-themed game originally dedicated as a Facebook application game.

The player takes on the role of a ninja and may chose one the different ninjitsu class elements: wind, fire, earth, water, or lightning. Gameplay consists of completing missions and leveling up, which will allow the player access to new combat skills, as well as other features, such as more powerful equipment, access to pets, etc. Player vs. player (PvP) combat is also available.

Jutsu Development

Justu or technique, refers to all skills the player has access to during combat, which comprises of ninjistu, taijistu, and genjustsu. Ninjitsu element skills comprise of the majority of combat skills the player’s ninja posses. Almost each character level posses one skill per element, which may be purchased by the player for gold. Although the player starts with only one ninjitsu element, additional elements may be obtained at a maximum of three elements. Although there are an abundant of skills to learn, the player may only equip a limited number of skills to use during combat.

Combat

Combat against non-player characters (NPCs) occurs via quests accessible from the training building. Quests come in different categories, such as training level quests, special quests, and daily quests. Each of which specify a level requirement, as well as gold and experience rewards. Premium quests are also available that may only be accessed by purchasing sufficient points with real money. The player may also invite two friends as allies to join per combat session.

In the combat screen, the player faces one or more opponents in turn-based combat. If the player has allies, they will act independently to help the player. Turns take place in accordance to speed (agility). Options include the use of special attacks (e.g. ninjitsu), normal attack, dodge, and run away.
