Pirate101

Pirate101 is a free online game set in “The Spiral” this is the same universe as Wizard101 and they share some of the same locations and plot points.
During character creation each player picks how they lost their parents and what “group” raised them afterwards. These choices go on to have lasting changes to the rest of the game. Players are taught the basics of ship flying and combat along with being involved in a deepening mystery of the legend of El dorado, the city of gold. What pirate doesn’t want gold?

Combat on land and on deck is a turn based grid and players acquire units to control as the game progresses. In the “skyways” combat is more real time between ships, where players fire their cannons or summon magical creatures by use of their ship equipment.

As the story progresses the player gets a message from their parents, and goes on in search of them, but doing so reveals a plot by an army of clockworks to devour and remake the spiral like them.
