This game is one of three Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles for the WiiWare format. Like the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games before them, they are very similar, yet have key differences. In this case, the differences are names and layouts of dungeons, playable Pokémon, and Pokémon available as recruits. Playable Pokémon and partners are chosen rather than taking a quiz. Susume! Honoo no Bōkendan has the following playable Pokémon: Charmander, Vulpix, Growlithe, Eevee, Cyndaquil, Teddiursa, Torchic, Chimchar, and Buneary. It should also be noted that these games are not as plot-based as previous games in the series.
