Research Story (2023)

Set out to discover and record plants and creatures for the Violet Archive. Grow crops, tame animals, and build the perfect farm! Forge friendships along the way as you begin your life as a researcher!

The Research Story is set in the town of Shimmerbrook, a newly settled area with sightings of exotic plants and creatures. The Violet Archive has been set up to document the development of the region, and is looking for researchers to aid in its cause. As a researcher, you will be tasked with discovering and recording plants and creatures at various locations around Shimmerbrook, and contributing your findings to the Archive. You will also need to grow crops, learn about the conditions they thrive in, and plan your farm layout accordingly. Additionally, you will be able to craft items to customize your farm, tame creatures by observing them and learning about their diet, and build the perfect farm based on the needs of your plants and creatures. Finally, you will be able to befriend the townsfolk by conversing with them and completing quests. From a druid whose family has lived for generations in the mountains, to a featherfolk whose first job is in this new town - many characters await in Shimmerbrook.
