Steel & Steam: Episode 1 is 2D JRPG game set in fantasy steampunk world. The game has two main characters, a pair of adventurers. There is Noah Phoenix, an adventure junky, and Alyssa Noble, who grew up protecting her father’s caravans.
The style of battles is similar to those in Phantasy Star II. The player sees the back of the characters and actions are executed in the turns. Opponents appear randomly, like in many other JRPGs. The heroes can explore a large world, visit various towns and wander through caves. They can level up and have several statistics, like attack, defence or agility.
