The world was embroiled in war, when the explorer Ferrucio Espada discovered a new world across the Dark Sea. Some fled the conflict, while others saw opportunities. Now, the land of Granado Espada faces the growing pains of a rapidly expanding colony, as well as dark beasts lurking in the wilderness, mysterious ruins, and hatred imported from the old world to the new.
Sword of the New World: Granado Espada features a strange character system, where you control a group of 3 characters at once, instead of the usual 1. This is common enough in single-player games, but in a massively-multiplayer game, is certainly unusual. Also of note is the ability to play up to level 20 without any one-time or monthly fees.
Other than these features, and the unique fantasy-Victorian motif, the game should look familiar to most veterans of massively-multiplayer games. Killing and looting monsters, leveling up, and completing quests are all part of the experience.
