The Dark Eye: Nedime - The Caliph’s Daughter (2003)

Game Details

Nedime - The Caliph’s Daughter is the first part of The Dark Eye (TDE) mobile fantasy RPG series. Your first action will be to create a new hero choosing from a variation of 14 original classes based on the Pen&Paper (P&P) RPG. You can then customize your heroes’ stats and abilities in classic role-playing fashion by assigning points to create new strengths or compensate weaknesses. Once done you have the option to save your hero and even transfer it to any of the sequels, taking over any earned experience and improving your odds of success.

Throughout the story you are presented with multiple choice decisions. Some of them will require good intuition, others dice-rolling based on your heroes’ stats. Fights are handled very similar. All of this is based on the TDE 20 sided dice system (not to be confused with D&D D20).

The game story is based on Aventuria, a Continent in the world of Dere, where swords and magic have created many different cultures and races. Unlike most common medieval RPGs, Aventuria has made quite a number of cultural and social advancements which place it more into the region of a magic enlightened Renaissance. The original German P&P RPG, consisting of hundreds of books and novels, has been brought over by the original authors of some TDE publications.

This adventure takes you right into the mysterious palace of sultan Hasrabal, who has abducted and imprisoned the beautiful daughter of the Caliph. It is up to you to help Nedime in her time of dire need.
