Game Details

War Metal is a science fiction-themed role-playing game originally dedicated as a Facebook application game.

The player controls a force of commanders and units and uses them to complete missions. A single mission must be carried out a number of times until its completion rate reached 100% and by doing so will reward the player with cash, experience (XP), and sometimes new items (commanders, units, structures, etc.) and unlock new missions and locations. Additionally, unique items and/or abilities may be purchased with War Credits (WC), which is exchanged with real currency.

Character Development

The player’s stats, accessible via the character page, consists of the following attributes: Attack (starts at 1), Defense (starts at 1), Health (starts at 100), Energy (starts at 100), and Stamina (starts at 10). All attributes may be increased via training or through a limited number of distributable points awarded to the player, when the player gains enough experience and levels up. Higher levels will also unlock new units and other items, which may be either purchased with War Credits or cash.

Missions costs a specified amount of energy, which will replenish gradually as time passes, while player vs. player battles costs stamina, as well as health.

Forces

The player’s force consists of commanders, assault units, structures, and boosts (temporary ability). The size of the force depends on the formation (e.g. Standard 1-2, consists of one commander and two assault units). New formations may be obtained by completing specific missions. Commanders and assault units both have attack and defense values, some of them with unique abilities. Structures vary in abilities, some offering cash bonuses, others also having combat abilities. Boosts offer bonuses for a limited time.
