World of Chaos is a turn-based RPG based on the Hungarian novel series of the same name. The player takes the role of the half-orc Skandar Graun who was sent by the god of chaos to retrieve an important artifact. Due to unpredicted happenings the player strands at the harbour town Rentzal without skills or equipment…
As usual in RPGs the player spends much of his time by exploring his surroundings, talking to people and solving quests, e.g. rescuing a kitten from a hungry orc. He also can pick up other characters and form a three-headed party. When meeting an enemy the game automatically starts the combat mode. The player has a certain amount of action points to his disposal which he uses to move, attack or cast spells.
Every killed enemy and solved quest rewards experience points. After gathering enough of them the character levels up and the player can divide additional points to 36 skills, e.g. melee, lockpicking or resistance to the four elements. The player is not restricted to a certain class but can choose freely which skills he wishes to develop. The 240 spells are divided into six kodices of magic and six spheres of priesthood.
