It has been 300 years since the evil god Drakh-Shu has been banished from GoldenLand, but now the high priest of the cult of heroes witnesses the signs that can mark the return of the evil god - the spread of diseases, hunger and undead crawling from their graves. Several heroes are sent out to investigate, and you are one of these heroes.

Zlatogorye 2 is a turn-based RPG and a sequel to Heath: The Unchosen Path. The game is played a-la Fallout or Arcanum - the hero visits towns and villages, talks to NPCs, takes on quests and engages in turn-based battles. The protagonist can be trained to become a warrior, rogue or mage, however there’s no strict class system, so the player may choose to upgrade different skills as he sees fit. There are skills that directly affect combat (like providing the increased number of action points) and social skills like thieving and advance communication ability. Smithing and alchemy systems allow to create weapons and armor and brew potions.

Traveling between towns and places of interest is done on the world map, with a relatively high possibility of random encounters. The game features three distinctly different geographic regions which the hero will need to explore in the course of the main quest. There’s also a day/night cycle implemented.
