A New Champion is Getting Added to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 this Year

There's a lot of new content being planned for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 this 2025. One of the highlights is the addition of a new Champion in the roster. Get ready to meet the Salamander Champion.

This Champion is a sniper and available not only in PvE but also for PvP. In a post, developer Saber Interactive shared that while the Raven Guard would have been a good pick for Sniper Champion, they have something else in store for them. It turns out that a lot of players love Salamanders and this isn't the only reason why the studio decided to give it a Champion. The studio went on to say that Heavy and Tactical were also being considered. However, Heavy was already taken and there are different plans for Tactical.

Customization

For this year, customization elements are planned to be added to the game like the Mark VI Corvus. It should allow for more iconic Chapters of the Warhammer 40k universe to be represented.

The Datavault is also making its presence felt on the Battle Barge. It’s going to be composed of a new area that has unlockable information on most elements and enemies from the game. To unlock them, players need to have special currency which can be earned via in-game achievements.

Community Events

Players should be happy to know that in-game continues in 2025. Right now, players can join the Decimation Event. In this one, they can win 10 times in Operations and in return unlock the exclusive skin which is the Mark XI Hell’s Teeth Pattern Chainsword. The event ends January 20.
