Studio Camelia has recently unveiled fresh details about their upcoming 3D turn-based JRPG, ALZARA Radiant Echoes. In a new video interview, the game's composer, Motoi Sakuraba, delves into his inspiration for the game's main theme. Sakuraba, well-known for his previous works on the Golden Sun and Dark Souls franchises, has crafted a soundtrack that echoes the Mediterranean setting of the game.
“I was drawn to the graphics, with their very distinctive use of color and the warm feeling the images give,” says Sakuraba. The musical score features instruments that capture the essence of the Mediterranean, including the oud, santur, kaval, castanets, and acoustic guitar.
In addition to Sakuraba, Studio Camelia has collaborated with Japanese artist Yoshiro Ambe, known for his work on Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Trials of Mana, to create the game’s main characters. The world map design is the brainchild of Montpellier watercolor artist Marcel Mosqi. ALZARA Radiant Echoes is set to be released on PC and consoles in 2026.
ALZARA Radiant Echoes immerses players in a fantasy Mediterranean archipelago on the brink of war. The game promises a fresh take on the JRPG genre with a dynamic battle system that allows players to tactically swap heroes and share magical abilities to gain the upper hand. The game's Kickstarter campaign was fully funded within 48 hours, demonstrating a strong interest from JRPG fans.
