Children have long been seen as the ones that were going to lead the future. During the Middle Ages, the prestige and wealth of royal houses were secured not only by heirs but even spares. They were the ones that carried the legacies and making this possible was the focus on education and child-rearing. The new Wards & Wardens event pack for Crusader Kings III introduces more interactivity and depth in this phase of a kingdom's rise or fall.
In this new event pack, players get to experience new events all related to childhood, education, and parenthood. There are also challenge like complicated situations that come up when there is a young ruler sitting on the throne. These new interactions and decisions give players a more hands on approach especially when it comes to child-rearing.
Here are some of the new features that players can look forward to in Wards & Wardens:
- Get to enjoy a livelier Childhood through a bunch of new events not only for parents but also for young rulers. Just remember that choices made during the early stages can have an impact on adulthood.
- New events available for Courtly Education allow players to not only educate but even be educated in new and interesting ways.
- Be careful of hostages at court who can mingle with the children, become homesick, or get into trouble. However, they also allow for opportunities that can lead to lasting friendships and possibly getting a new type of Perpetual Hook.
- Make sure to employ a Wet nurse which can help in the development of the heirs and even increase the well-being of the children who are at court.
- Experience new events for Childhood Regencies where a benevolent regent can help players as a young ruler by teaching them skills, giving gifts, or stabilizing the realm. Be on the lookout for that less-than-scrupulous regents.
- There are also new events for Meet Peers activity like playing ball with fellow children or honing skills.
- Enjoy several rare story cycles which players get to see their young ruler work to become one of the greatest builders of all time or pursue a nebulous yet rather enticing destiny. These are just some of the story cycles available.
