The latest update for Underspace is now live. Dubbed as "Faces in the Fog," this is the second major update for the game. It introduces a large amount of new content for all players.
One of the new features is focused on bounty hunting. With the update, you can find and access different bounty boards across the galaxy. It gives you regional postings on various felons, evil clowns, and ghosts. These bounties offer you the chance to experience static versions of a lot of the storm bosses like snakes, living mines, and ghost ships, to name a few. Let's not forget the static spawns.
That's not all since those who take on the strongest bounties have the chance to obtain special new rewards which include ingredients for new weapons and even the newest class of heavy weapon which is the Dynamos. When dynamos are active, it makes the ship faster and even more dangerous. It allows the ship to through nearby ships to deal tons of damage. The dynamos also allow ships to release missiles.
More Quests
Quests have also been improved. In a post, the studio revealed that a lot of quests weren’t ready to be implemented when the game was launched. However, with this new update those quests are finally available. There's a quest where you need to escape from a supernatural space prison or help a team of ex-military soldiers take revenge. Other quests include performing space rituals, solving a medical mystery, or even robbing a starship convention. Indeed, there are a lot to enjoy.
Of course, new quests mean new rewards. However, that also means there are new monsters to defeat. Then again, new quests also mean new dialogue and there's a lot more ambient dialogue across the galaxy for everyone to find.
Party Enhancement
You should also be happy to know that improvements have been made for party members. In particular, all six party members now have their full dialogue trees implemented. Each member now also wants to do certain things as they accompany you on the journey. If you take them to where they want to go, then you get to learn more about them and their life story.
Underspace is available in Early Access on Steam.
