The story focuses on Pom, who returns to her hometown of Paell and visit her parents only to learn that their restaurant is closed for business and apparently deep in debt. She now has to re-open the restaurant while making sure that it thrives. Wielding her cooking utensils, she now has to collect ingredients from the land as she goes on an adventure in the world that's outside Paell. There she has to go against giant chickens, artillery shrimps, and even fire-breathing peppers, among other pesky perils, while sipping boba tea.
The game offers players the chance to cook from more than 100 different recipes around the world. Indeed, there's a lot to try out like the crunchy Popiah rolls, rich Kaya jam, double-fried crispy chicken with zesty lemon, and sweet treats piled high with berries, to name a few. No matter the recipe, it's important to get the right dishes to the right customers.
To get the ingredients, players need to explore the different dungeons that include the Green Ruins, Frozen Fjord, and Konpeito Swamps. There are a lot of procedurally generated biomes available which can change their size, shape, and even resources, each time they are visited.
Cuisineer is developed by BattleBrew Productions and co-published globally by Marvelous Europe and XSEED Games.
