In case you didn't know, the Legacy of Persia is now available in Crusader Kings III. Launching alongside this new flavor pack is the free Peacock update. One of the highlights is the House Unity.

House Unity is a new measure of the internal stability in the ruling house of a Clan realm. It comes in five levels from Antagonistic and all the way to Harmonious. This is a result of the actions taken by clan members toward each. Clans having high unity levels get to have a high level of internal stability. Which means that it's going to make conquest harder. Those having low unity levels meanwhile are better when it comes to conquering new lands but are internally unstable. Each level that is unlocked comes with special rules, decisions, interactions and abilities.

Clan Vassals

The new update also adds a new feature to Clan Vassals. They can now be assigned to Tax Jurisdictions, which are handled by a Tax Collector. Depending on the aptitude of the Tax Collector along with the Tax Decree assigned to that Jurisdiction, the associated Vassals provide and enjoy various benefits and penalties. In addition, the existing Vassal obligations, Ghazi, Iqta and Jizya, are now considered as Tax Decrees in the new system.

Viziers

Clan realms which are at least duchy tier can now assign a landless character to become a Vizier. Viziers not only provide extra tax jurisdictions, but their aptitude also helps all tax collectors in the realm. This means that the more empowered the Viziers, the bigger the benefits. The only catch is that Viziers may try to embezzle funds. Vizier excesses can be fined through the Mulct interaction. By the way, players have the option to use the Vizier as a substitute to their spouse in the confidant counselor position.

Crusader Kings III has players take command of their house and expand their dynasty through the Middle Ages. They get to claim lands, titles, and vassals to secure a realm worthy of royal blood. There's also a sprawling simulated world that's filled with different characters that include peasants and knights, courtiers, spies, knaves and jesters, and even secret love affairs. Then there is the extensive cast of historical characters which players can romance, betray, execute, or subtly influence.

Each character in the game is truly larger than life having traits and lifestyle choices which then determine their actions as well as the schemes. Players thus have the option to rule with an iron fist to spread fear and dread or perform magnanimous deeds to inspire subjects.
