Skybound Entertainment announced the official release date of its first ever original video game that's set in the Invincible universe. Invincible Presents: Atom Eve is going to be available for the PC this coming November 14. The game is a visual novel that offers an original story with RPG elements and turn-based combat. You take on the role of Atom Eve and make decisions which can her relationships with family and friends. It's pretty much a comic book story where you get to control Atom Eve.
Meet Atom Eve
In the game you get to explore the life of Atom Eve that's beyond the story presented in the comics and the animated series. It gives you the chance to help Atom Eve survive the difficulties that comes when trying to balance the responsibilities and dangers of being a superhero while facing the everyday challenges of family, friends, school, and even romantic interests.
The choices you make are the ones that shape the relationships Atom Eve has with other characters and define how the story plays out on different paths. You'll also need to choose how to develop her skills to increase her power and unlock those special combat skills.
Meet the Team
The game is being developed by Terrible Posture Games, the same studio responsible for titles like The Walking Dead: Last Mile and Mothergunship. Serving as Creative Director is Jill Murray (Narrative Lead/Design on Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Boyfriend Dungeon) with Art Direction by Rossi Gifford (Illustrator and Character Designer Riot Games, Marvel, and Skybound).
The Invincible Universe
Invincible was created Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker and released on January 2003. Its first issue debuted to critical acclaim. Later on, artist and contributing creator Ryan Ottley joined the team. Season 2 of the series is launching on November 3 with new comic book projects in the pipeline.
Throughout its 15-year run, Invincible released 144 issues. It also spawned different spin-off series and there was even an inter-company crossover with your friendly neighborhood superhero. In 2021, an animated series was launched on Amazon Prime. Invincible became one of the most popular new streaming series with critics praising for its fresh storytelling.
The first episode of Season 2 is now available on Prime Video. After that the first half of the eight-episode season drops November 3. The second half is expected to be released in 2024.
