Building Your Army
Iratus: Lord of the Dead is a turn-based and tactical roguelike RPG that's set in a dark fantasy universe. The game has you side with the forces of darkness taking on the role of the titular necromancer. After being freed from a millennia-long imprisonment, you now get to control an obedient army of the living dead that's composed of skeletons, zombies, banshees and a lot of other unliving warriors. It goes without saying that you can also create your very own soldiers using the body parts of defeated enemies.
Building the Lair
As a necromancer, it’s not just having your own army because you’ll also need to improve and expand your underground lair. Here you can strengthen your servants by researching secret rituals. You’ll also need to explore the twisted corridors and underground catacombs where you get to fight against lobotomized miners, the greedy dwarves, and those corrupt mercenaries.
Key Features
In the game, there are about 19 types of servants and four talent trees. You also get to experience the unique combat system and the game’s elements. There’s no doubt that Iratus: Lord of the Dead offers a challenge for everyone, especially those who’s a fan of the genre. Aside from the detailed 2D graphics and a gloomy atmosphere of dark fantasy, making things even more exciting is the fact that the game is being voiced by none other than the legendary Stefan Weyte, known for his performance as Caleb in the cult game series “Blood.”
Iratus: Lord of the Dead was released in April 2020. You can get it for the PC via Steam.
