A new update is launching to Erenshor this November 10. It's set to introduce the first ever iteration of crafting and mining. With this, players can gather minerals and then refine them into powerful weapons over at the crafting forge. All that needs to be done is input a fuel source, use a blueprint, and then craft away.
In addition to these two new skills, there are also a lot of quality-of-life changes to be introduced. One of these is the update made to the UI which is a result of the feedback from the community. Players can look forward to the UI group command buttons which allows for controlling Sim players to be more intuitive. There have also been lots of work and adjustments made to the day night cycle along with dynamic weather cycle having atmospheric effects and colors. Added as well has been the rain and fog.
Other changes include:
- adding a keyring to keep keys organized.
- fishing no longer needing a skill book.
- Stowaway's Step now features a larger gate which should make the journey more accessible
- character animations updated so more caveman walk
- main quest reworked to guide player more effectively to completion
Talking about this update, Burgee Media Creative Director Brian Burgee shared in a statement that it's been almost two months since the demo for the game was released. He added that while they were happy with the quality, they also knew that there was still room for improvement. Burgee went on to say this first overhaul is based on feedback from the community.
Erenshor is a fully functioning MMORPG with a twist. The other players aren't humans and the "O" actually stands for "Offline." and the 'O' stands for 'Offline'. Basically you're one player in an active player base and try to make your way in the world. The game is a single player love letter to the MMORPGs of old. It takes inspiration from the classic titles of the 90s and early 00s, where combat is deliberate and deadly.
Erenshor is coming out on 2024 and a free demo is currently available on Steam.
