Paradox Interactive has announced a new Expansion Pass for Age of Wonders 4. This new Expansion Pass is planned to have four contents released with the first one titled as "Herald of Glory" available upon purchase. The remaining three DLCs are set to be made available over the coming months. The Expansion Pass 2 is priced at $49.99.
The new "Herald of Glory" DLC adds unique items to the game along with a new society trait. This allows players to assert in a more regal manner their dominion which in comes to the Astral Sea.
The Ways of War
The next content under the Expansion Pass 2 is "Ways of War" which launches November 5. It's going to challenge players particularly on how they approach conflict especially with the addition of new features like the Oathsworn Culture. It's based on unique warrior codes which provide rewards to those who strong enough to stick to their ethos. There are different ones like Swear the Oath of Righteousness for those who want it to be all about destroying evil. Meanwhile, Oath of Strife has players fight against the strong and worthy. Finally, Oath of Harmony challenges players to see if they can avoid war whenever possible.
As mentioned, this DLC is part of the Expansion Pass 2. Those who don’t have it can still obtain it though they’ll have to pay $14.99.
Two More DLCs
The remaining two DLCs are scheduled to be released in 2025. The first is “Giant Kings” sometime in the second quarter. This one comes with a new Giant ruler type plus new dwellings. There is also some hand-crafted map regions added to the game. Without the Expansion Pass 2, this is available for $19.99.
The remaining DLC is “Archon Prophecy.” It introduces a new culture and even new prophecy events. Players can also enjoy new story content. It’s set to be available in the third quarter. It’s also priced at $19.99 for those who don’t have the Expansion Pass 2.
