Tense Games has released a new update for Stellar Warfare. The highlight is the addition of new content which results in the game now having 15,000 lines of text. The game also now has 14 languages that include Japanese, German, French, and Chinese.

In a statement, the Stellar Warfare team revealed that the update was made possible through the passionate community. The team went on to say that their contributions were vital in making sure that the game was even more accessible than ever.

Gameplay Upgrades

The newest patch also introduces balance updates to the game that reinvigorate gameplay strategies. Medium and heavy ships have long been overshadowed by light ships. The new update increases the weapon fire rates and allows for more dynamic and tactical fleet compositions. In addition, the Dome Cruiser and Auxillium ships now have expanded shield ranges and thus can now protect allied ships more effectively. These changes were made with the goal of diversifying playstyles and letting players approach battles creatively.

New players to the game can also find an improved first-time experience. This is all thanks to a streamlined setup screen that allows for smoother onboarding into the galaxy’s strategic depth.

Bring the Fleet Together

Stellar Warfare features ship customization that comes with complete 3D space movement. The game is inspired by titles that include the likes of Red Alert, Homeworld, and Supreme Commander.

In the game, players get to build an economy, build a base, capture space stations, and even spawn units to fight the enemy. It’s pretty similar to Red Alert with the main difference being the game has more building and unit options. Every time players defeat enemies, they drop blueprints for frames, weapons, or modules, every now and then. Players can then use these to modify their units and compose a fleet to defeat opponents.

These units by the way, can then be bought by the players in-game and are tailored to their play-style.

For those interested, this is a good time to get Stellar Warfare since it’s currently being offered at 50% off on Steam. Get it now.
