Warner Bros. Games announced that it's officially supporting PC modding for Hogwarts Legacy. Starting January 30, players on Steam and Epic Games Store can download a new patch which allows them to access and download available mods directly from the main menu in the game. Meanwhile, those who want to create their own mods can get the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit, which is available for free on the Epic Games Store.
To learn more about what this feature offers, CurseForge is going to be hosting and moderating the Hogwarts Legacy mods. In particular, the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit supports modding new quests, dungeons, and character enhancements like cosmetics and skins. These mods can then be submitted through the CurseForge platform to be published in the game.
Developer Avalanche Software meanwhile is releasing a new video to show details on the integrated modding system. In the video, the studio is going to discuss what players can expect. They'll also be showcasing their favorite mods, which is set to be available next month. You can watch that video here.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG that’s set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. Players get to embark on a journey across familiar and new locations as they explore and discover magical beasts. They can also customize character and craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents and become the wizard they want to be.
The game takes place in Hogwarts during the 1800s. Players get to take on the role of a student who holds the key to an ancient secret which threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. They’ll need to make allies while at the same time fight against Dark wizards. Ultimately they’ll have to decide the fate of the wizarding world.
The game is available for the PC. Over on Steam, players can choose from three different versions. The Standard Edition is available for $59.99. There's also the Digital Deluxe Edition that's priced at $69.99. Aside from the full game, it has the Dark Arts Garrison Hat and Dark Arts Pack.
Finally, there's the Hogwarts Legacy + Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Deluxe Editions Bundle. It has everything in the Digital Deluxe Edition and adds the Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Deluxe Pack.
