Pier of the Unknown DLC for Cassette Beasts Releasing October 14

The upcoming DLC for Cassette Beasts is releasing this October 14. Titled as "Pier of the Unknown," it's set to introduce a new storyline for players to discover. There's also a new spooky location known as the Brightside Pier which comes with three carnival-themed attractions waiting to be explored.

Speaking of the Brightside Pier, once it becomes available players get the chance to find and collect 12 new monsters. With this, it brings the total number of monsters in the game to 141 resulting in being able to form 19,881 unique fusions. Finally, the upcoming DLC adds five new character costume options.

Released in April 2023, Cassette Beasts offers players an open-world RPG where the get to collect monsters through turn-based battles. They can then combine two of the monsters through the game's Fusion System and come up with unique and powerful new monsters.

It’s set in the remote island of New Wirral where strange creatures live. Trapped in the island, players need to find a way to get back home. On their journey, they get to record monsters through their trusty cassette tapes to obtain their abilities.

By recording a monster on the tape, players can then play it back to take on its form and do battle. Of course, having monsters won't be enough as combining two monsters to form a unique and fully animated new fusion version can give players that much needed advantage in a fight. That's not all that the monsters have to offer. That's because the abilities of some of the monsters can be used while in human form. This should especially when going around, locating puzzles, and even solving dungeons.

It's not all monsters since there's also a diverse cast of human companions available. Players ge to form bonds with these characters, spend time with them, and even help some complete their personal goals to become a better team. It's important for players to remember that they won't be fighting alone.
