A new battle pass system has been launched in RuneScape. The new Hero Pass offers players a track for players to explore and then unlock powerful items, XP buffs, and even cool cosmetics. It has a reward track where standard Members can enjoy a wide range of free rewards. There are also additional premier rewards available free for those who subscribe to the 12-Month Premier Membership.
The Hero Pass replaces both the Yak Tracks and the Challenge System. It refines how players engage the game and get a more rewarding experience. There are Hero Points to be earned through the "always-on" battle pass system that includes daily missions, weekly missions, and even special missions. Through this Hero Pass, players are able to progress on the rewards track by simply playing the game as they normally would while those who decide to take on missions get to progress faster.
Each Hero Pass season features 120 levels of content which is composed of 99 standard levels and 21 heroic levels. Heroic levels are for those who want to look for a challenge and test their skills. In addition, Hero Pass seasons lasts for three months each, which is longer than the Yak Tracks. This should give players more time to level up.
For its very first season, the Hero Pass introduces Necromancy which comes with different Underworld-themed rewards for both free and Premium members. There are also other rewards available like Skill XP buffs and Hero Pass Satchels that contain gameplay-focused items. Players can also look forward to variant animations for Necromantic conjures and Emblems, which are the new currency specific for each season of the Hero Pass.
