Sagres is Coming Soon to the Nintendo Switch

Some good news for fans of Sagres! This open world sailing simulation RPG is launching soon for the Nintendo Switch. While to date was revealed, this should allow for a bit of excitement for console players.

Sagres is the debut game from solo indie developer Ooze, based out of South Korea, and published by Kakehashi Games. It was released in September 2023 and made available for the PC through Steam. When it first came out, it received 85% positive reviews on Steam and currently has Very Positive reviews.

In the game, you get to sail across the whole world. This means you get to visit the snowcapped mountains of North America, the Saharan plains of Africa, and anywhere in-between. There are hundreds of real locations to discover where you also need to set up those important trade routes.

Exploring the seven seas is not without its dangers. You'll have to fight against thieves, pirates, wild animals, and even mythical creatures. Thus, you'll need to arm yourself with different swords, guns, cannons, and armors. By the way, the game features a rather unique "rock-paper-scissors" turn-based combat system.

Aside from sailing the seas and surviving the dangers, you'll need to become the greatest explorer in the world. To make this happen you'll have to take contracts from the different guilds and make discoveries. You'll also need to find treasures that no other person can. Rise through the ranks and obtain enough fame and you may even be able to rub shoulders with royalty.

If you get some downtime, don't forget to arm the deck with cannons to ensure that you have a chance to win in combat. It's also important to keep in mind that you should have the necessary cargo space where you can place the resources needed to support the crew. Finally, make sure that everything is ship-shape since this can spell the difference between having a successful voyage or getting lost at sea.
