In case you didn't know, ZeniMax Online Studios is introducing a new experience in The Elder Scrolls Online with Season. This new feature arrives to the game with Season Zero and titled "Dawn and Dusk." It officially launches April 2 and runs until July 8.

The Night Market

One of the new content added to the game is the Night Market. This brand-new type of zone is being dubbed as "Event Zone." The Night Market is a new area in the Oblivion realm of Fargrave that opens April 29 and available for a seven-week period until June 17. In this area, players can choose one of three unique factions and they pledge service in a gauntlet of challenging PvE encounters.

Player Experience Improvements

Season Zero also introduces the first set of quality-of-life changes. These include:

  • The ability to respec Skills and Attributes directly from the UI at no cost.
  • An increase to the speed at which players train their Riding skills.
  • An increase to furnishing limits on half of the game’s player houses.
  • A return to the 30-day listing window for Guild traders.
  • 16 mounts of all shapes and sizes moved from the Crown Store to gold vendors.
  • One of these is a brand-new gold purchasable mount: the Ebon Dwarven Horse.
  • Increases to rarer Antiquities expiration times.
  • A change to make Outfit Slots account-wide.

Tamriel Tomes

Another new content is Tamriel Tomes, which is a new way for players to earn in-game collectibles, currencies, and rewards simply by playing the game. Each Season introduces a new Tamriel Tome, which is basically the game's version of battlepass-like systems from other games. Tomes offer players the chance to complete weekly and seasonal challenges to earn a new currency called Tome Points.

Each page in the tome offers a variety of rewards for players to choose from, and as players earn more Tome Points, new pages open to offer additional rewards. After players have unlocked a page, it’s their choice as to whether they wish to spend your Tome Points on that page’s items or save them up for specific rewards later in the experience.
