Developer Games Farm and publisher Grindstone are launching a new dev diary series for Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel. With the game set to come out in the fourth quarter of this year, this is sure to hype things up. In fact, the debut episode of the new series is now available.
Episode 1 features Game Designer Jakub Kokoška who's going to give a deep dive into the Norse-inspired lore of the game. He's also sharing more on the upcoming characters, god-tier abilities, and next-level combat skills. There's also some information on the possible daily and weekly quests and even what to look forward to in the game. You can watch the first episode here.
Survive the Fight
The game features adrenaline-fueled battles where players try to survive against the endless waves of enemies. They'll also need to summon the final boss and when successfully completing the trial get to earn greater rewards. What this means is that players need to finish a series of missions and not only survive individual runs.
By the way, boss enemies pose increasing levels of threat as players progress through the game. To outmaneuver and defeat these enemies, they'll need to make full use of the environment along with their kills.
Taking on Missions
The challenging missions that are available within each run are sure to the abilities of players while also adding depth to their journey across Nine worlds. The quests have players complete specific objectives or overcome additional obstacles to earn greater rewards and favor of Norse Gods.
Meta-Progression System
The game has a meta-progression system which lets players progress and improve their character. This system has them unlock perks and upgrades. As players continue to upgrade, they get to unlock new abilities, enhancements, and bonuses, which can be used to customize playstyle. It also improves the chances of survival and become ultimate Odin’s warrior which is the Jotunslayer.
Enjoy the Demo
A demo of the game is available on Steam. In this one, players get to choose from two playable characters with each having their own unique set of skills, abilities, and weapons. Get to experiment with different combinations and find the perfect build.
