We finally know the creatures joining the Burrowbuck in ARK: Survival Ascended. Studio Wildcard revealed that Fantastic Tames Season 1 is also going to have Cerberax and the Enigmasaur.
While the Burrowbuck arrives in the game with Fantastic Tames Season 1, the other two are releasing to the game a little later. In particular, the Cerebrax comes out in the third quarter of this year while the Enigmasaur makes its way by the fourth quarter.
Adorable and Clever
The first creature making its way to the game is the Burrowbuck. It's adorable, clever, and aggressively skittish fluffball that serves as a master of guerrilla warfare. Cunning players can make use of the Burrowbuck to carve out hidden and bunker-like underground dens. The Burrowbuck can also open temporary gateway tunnels to allow for rapid long-distance travel. Redesigned Mount
The Burrowbuck arrives to the game along with a classic creepy resident, which is the community-voted Araneo TLC. It was often dismissed as a proper mount because it was too small. However, the new saddle design in particular results in a rather versatile role for those who're not afraid to think a little differently. The combination of the improved mobility and a new perspective from above, it feels as if players are stepping into a role that feels equal parts ambush predator and tactical support. The game has completely recreated and redesigned the artwork and worlds of ARK to take advantage of the latest in videogame technology, which is the Unreal Engine 5. In particular, the use of the high-end graphics offer fully dynamic Global Illumination and result in the light bouncing realistically off of surfaces.
ARK: Survival Ascended includes access to all of ARK’s worlds that include Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, ARK Genesis Part 1, ARK Genesis Part 2, and more.
