Last week, a new update was released in Once Human. Once of the highlights was the addition of a new region. Known as Arkam, it gives access to Onyx Tundra, Vena Fjord, and Ember Strand. Today we're to look a little bit closer to what it has to offer.
Let's start with Onyx Tundra, which is located in the east of Arkam. Here players can encounter a frozen ocean while also being able to ride a cable car to the mountainous region at the southern border. There's also a vibrant dessert town along with a theme park that's been built on a tundra and glistens like colored onyx.
Moving to central Arkam, players should get to Vena Fjord. It has a secluded and winding shoreline with slopes of iridescent grass. It also has the tallest peak in the land. In this area they can experience the freezing temperatures of the mountain, zipline across tall chasms, or those who want to stay safe can enjoy the lush greenery.
Finally, there's Ember Strand, which is located in East Arkam. This is a hot and treacherous region that's dominated by a roaring volcano known as Mount Firethroat. Surrounding this crimson volcano is scorching lava, sulfur springs bathed in yellow mist, and all-consuming ash. Those brave enough to travel here need to be prepared for extreme heat and cross lava obstacles.
Overall, the region of Arkam has 60 riddle spots categorized in seven types which are Frozen Loot Crate, Ray Tracer, Tiny Bear Balloon, Doll Consortium, Hoarder Rat, Greedy Rat, and Follow the Footprints. Those who can complete a riddle spot challenge earn a special reward.
By the way, Mystical Crates can also be found in the new region of Arkam. There are five in each sub-region.
The Way of Winter
It should be noted as well that The Way of Winter's map comes with 29 Scenic Viewpoints. These are usually found near locations having majestic natural or man-made wonders. Players who encounter a Lonely Camera while exploring can interact with it and obtain a Scenic Viewpoint reward and unlock the corresponding Field Guide entry.
