The Abandoned Presence: A Metroidvania Journey

M.O. Studios' first title, The Abandoned Presence, is set to take players on a journey through a city inspired by the urban heritage center of India. The challenging Metroidvania game follows Zoey, a young woman who grew up in the city, as she fights her way to the heart of its colonization to uncover its cruelest secrets.

The game's announcement trailer, which can be viewed below, showcases Zoey's journey through the city, as she faces off against patrol units, elite enemies, and mechanized bosses. 

Players will need to explore hidden passages and unlock new perks and abilities, including wall jumps, double jumps, and air dashes, to progress through the game. Each weapon offers its own skill tree to learn, with rewards for mastering each weapon's unique playstyle. The Abandoned Presence will also offer a Kickstarter campaign, starting on May 3rd, and a playable demo for players to try out.

The Abandoned Presence is set to release on PC via Steam in Q2 2024. Players can add it to their Steam wishlist to stay up to date with the game's development. With its unique setting and challenging gameplay, The Abandoned Presence looks to be a promising addition to the Metroidvania genre.
