The Rising Powers have finally made their presence felt in Star Wars: The Old Republic. It marks the start of Galactic Season 8 with none other than Kai Zykken reaching out with an offer for everyone to test a new adrenal boost created by Czerka. The Experimental Combat Enhancers offer different effects which give players a special buff. Meanwhile, it's worth noting that rewards for this season feature items that are themed around Coruscant and Dromund Kaas as well as inspired by Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Andor.

Take on Uprisings

Anyway, for the duration of the new season, players are invited to return to Uprisings and complete the weekly objectives. While there are similarities to Flashpoints, Uprisings offer a more fast paced four-player group content. Each Uprising is available in Story, Veteran, and Master Mode. All these modes can be accessed through the terminals in the Combat Training section of the fleet. Veteran Mode Uprisings in particular can also be accessed through the Activities Window for players who are looking to group up with others.

Uprisings were previously available to Subscribers between levels 75 and 80. However, starting the 7.6.1 update, this content is now available for all players starting level 10 and remains openly accessible after the season ends.

Offering a Boost

As mentioned, Kai Zykken wants to test a new adrenal boost created by Czerka. Upon using these Experimental Combat Enhancers, players can receive these following buffs that lasts for the duration of the Uprising:

  • Destruction Overload: Every 5th enemy that is defeated explodes causing a damaging AOE effect.
  • Czerka Combat Drones: Drones assist players in taking enemies down.
  • Unstable Radiation Field: A devastating point blank AOE helps players decimate enemies.

This is just one of the changes introduced in the game. You can check out the available seasonal rewards here. See what else the 7.6.1 update brings to the game here.
